Our Tech Repair Zone is a mix of a real working workshop and an engaging learning area designed for NDIS participants.
Here, students explore everything from diagnosing hardware faults to building a computer from scratch β all taught in a friendly, supported, and inclusive environment.
Every week, we cover a new topic through trainer demonstrations and fun Kahoot-style learning games.
Hands-on computer repair
Workshop Area
The Workshop Area is where the action happens β a real, working repair space designed for demonstrations and live learning.
Participants watch trainers perform step-by-step repairs and upgrades, gaining first-hand insight into real-world computer work.
π§ What Happens Here
- Trainer-led demonstrations of hardware fault diagnosis (RAM, HDDs, SSDs, power supplies, etc.)
- Guided walkthroughs of hardware upgrades including RAM, SSD, and graphics card installations
- Software setup and system cloning demonstrations
- Troubleshooting driver and operating system issues
- Building a full PC from start to finish

Learning Spaces
Next to the main workshop is the Participant Learning Space β a hands-on environment where participants get to practise what theyβve learned in a safe and supportive way.
Here, each student has access to their own workstation, tools, and components for guided activities that build independence and skill.

- Small group learning with trainer support
- Safe use of real tools and computer parts
- Practice-based tasks such as installing memory, connecting drives, or troubleshooting a setup
- Reflection and review using Kahoot games and short discussions
