Welcome to Aussie IT Services – Supported Community Participation
Aussie IT Services offers a safe, welcoming space for autistic and other neurodivergent participants, as well as people with mild physical or psychosocial disabilities, to connect with others, take part in community-based activities, and build confidence in a real-world computer shop environment.
Our Computer Shop Experience is an innovative participation program where participants come together each week to socialise, collaborate, and engage in meaningful activities. Through shared experiences such as problem-solving, teamwork, customer interactions, and everyday technology use, participants are supported to increase social connection, confidence, and community involvement in a relaxed and supportive setting.
What makes us different
Real-world participation environment
Participants engage in meaningful, community-style activities within a real computer shop setting, supported by staff to feel comfortable, included, and confident while taking part.
Guided participation, not training
Activities are designed to support participation and engagement through shared experiences, routine-based sessions, and supportive guidance — allowing participants to take part at their own pace.
Engaging & motivating environment
Participants can enjoy access to high-spec gaming PCs, the Nintendo BattleZone 8 room, and inclusive group activities that encourage social interaction, confidence, and connection with others.
Participant-centred and regulation-aware
We offer calm spaces, predictable routines, and supportive staff who understand sensory needs and help participants remain regulated while participating in activities.
Sensory chill area
A quiet, optional space with iPads, headphones, and sensory tools is available for breaks, regulation, and downtime as needed.
